Cancelling & deleting events

Cancelling an event emails a cancellation to everyone who was invited — including people who had declined, so the event disappears from their calendar too.

For a repeating event you choose whether to cancel one occurrence, this and all following, or the entire series. Tamaton shows how many occurrences that affects before you confirm.

Cancelled events are kept rather than erased, so a late update arriving from a guest or a connected account cannot accidentally bring the meeting back.

If you would rather not notify anyone, you can cancel without sending — the event is removed from your calendar and nobody is emailed.
